  • V-Ray For Rhino Swarm | Node ENABLED but not RENDERING!

    Dear All,
I am running V-Ray 3.60.03 on two machines (Mike & Lucas) connected over a WiFi network.
I have been attempting a distributed rendering with V-Ray Swarm 1.4 on both machines; the slave computer (Lucas) appears as being "ENABLED" but it just doesn't render the image. I have tried to install and uninstall the Vray License Server, Vray Swarm and V-Ray itself multiple times on the slave computer without success. I also attempted to install the Vray Swarm stand alone and the License Server stand alone at which point my license wasn't detected.

The only difference on the set up of both machines is that Lucas is running License Server v.5.0.1 whereas Mike the master is running 5.1.1.

    See screenshots attached.

Hope you can assist me, I could really use the boost.

    Thanks,

    Rolando

Try to start Vray Swarm from the windows menu: Vray Swarm (start service). This might help. Anyway I don't think that WIFI will be enough to deal with distributed rendering. Try LAN instead.

Do you have a second render node license for the second computer? If not - it'll not join the rendering. Also - WiFi is indeed not working well for this since the bandwidth and the network stability are usually not enough, best to use LAN.
